As the festive season twinkles into our lives, it’s a perfect time to share some holiday-inspired moments and thoughts in this special edition of Rachel’s Corner.
Rediscovering Togetherness: There’s something magical about this time of year that brings people together. I’ve been organizing small, cozy gatherings with friends and family, focusing on meaningful conversations and genuine connections. It’s not about the size of the party, but the warmth it brings to our hearts.
- Embracing Imperfections: Letting go of perfectionism, especially during the holidays, has been a huge stress reliever. Whether it’s an outfit for a holiday party, prepping my house for guests or finding a gift, when I consider good to be good enough, I can focus more on the connections, having fun and being someone that others want to spend time with – it’s like giving myself the gift of time, energy and peace to focus on what really matters.
- A Step Towards Healthier Choices: Navigating the holiday menus can be tricky. I’m embarking on a self-care journey experimenting with recipes, from savory roasted vegetables to tempting low-sugar treats. It’s no doubt a balancing act between the joy of deliciousness and the pull to cut back on sugar. Prioritizing health has become a celebration with its own unique flavor!
- Reflecting on Growth: This season, I’ve been taking time to reflect on the past year. It’s important to acknowledge our growth, challenges, and the resilience we’ve shown. Each of us has a unique journey, and embracing our progress, no matter how small, is key to moving forward with hope and confidence.
Let’s make this holiday season a time of joy, reflection, and connection. What are your holiday plans and how are you incorporating wellness into them?
Until next time my friend,
Rachel
